MeasurementsIngredients
2 cupsPeeled Potatoes - Chopped
1/2 cupSliced Carrots
1/2 cupSliced Celery
1/4 cupChopped Onion
2 cupsBoiling Water
1/4 cupMargarine
1/4 cupFlour
1/2 teaspoonSalt
1/4 teaspoonPepper
2 cupsMilk
2 cupsGrated Cheddar Cheese
1 cupHam - Chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix veggies with boiling water in saucepan.
  2. Simmer covered for 15 minutes.
  3. Set aside.
  4. Melt margarine in large saucepan.
  5. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper.
  6. Whisk in milk.
  7. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
  8. Stir in cheese until melted.
  9. Add veggies with their cooking liquid.
  10. Add ham.
  11. Heat just to serving temperature, stirring occasionally.
  12. Do not boil.
