Measurements | Ingredients |

4 large | Chopped Onions |
2 pounds | Sausage |
6-8 large stalks | Chopped Celery |
Approximately 1/2 medium | Potatoes (cooked as for potato salad, then chopped) |
Equal amount to potatoes | Dry Bread |
To taste (equal parts with Poultry Seasoning) | Sage |
To taste (equal parts with Sage) | Poultry Seasoning |
To taste | Salt |
To taste | Pepper |
Instructions
- Cook sausage, celery, and onion in a large skillet until the sausage is browned and the vegetables are tender.
- Do not drain the grease from the skillet, as this adds a lot of flavor to the dressing.
- Add the cooked and chopped potatoes and the dry bread to the skillet.
- Season to taste with poultry seasoning, sage, salt, and pepper. Remember to use equal amounts of sage and poultry seasoning.
- Mix everything well.
- Allow the dressing to cool completely before stuffing a turkey.
- This dressing can also be used with pork.
