Recipe

MeasurementsIngredients
1 1/2 CSifted Self Rising Flour
3 TShortening
7 TCold Milk

Instructions

  1. Mix salt, flour, shortening, & milk as for pie crust.
  2. Roll very thin & cut into 1x3” strips.
  3. Drop one at a time into vigorously boiling broth.
  4. After the last strip is dropped into the broth, allow to cook for 6 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat, add chicken, stir gently.
  6. Let stand at least 1 hour before serving.
  7. Warm gently to serving temp.

Roll very thin on lightly floured board; do not stir while cooking
