Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce (Day Before Recommended): Make a spaghetti sauce by cooking the hamburger with solid pack tomatoes, onions, garlic, salt, and pepper. Simmer until flavors are blended.
  2. Prepare the Dough: Follow the directions on the Betty Crocker Hot Roll Mix package to prepare the pizza dough. Let it rise in a bowl for an hour or more, until puffed up.
  3. Divide the dough in half (this makes two pizzas).
  4. Place each half on an oiled cookie sheet and flatten it out until the sheet is covered evenly. Poke the dough with a fork to make holes.
  5. Assemble the Pizza (3 hours ahead of time noted on card):
    1. Spread out the head dough.
    2. Spread the sauce over the dough.
    3. Add your desired “top 3” ingredients (e.g., anchovies, mushrooms, strips of onion).
    4. Grate the mozzarella cheese over the top.
  6. Bake:
    1. When ready to go, put the pizza in a preheated 400°F oven.
    2. Bake for 6-10 minutes. (The card notes “Done, look to it,” so watch closely).
