8 Ounces | Uncooked Noodles |
1 Pound | Ground Beef |
1 Tablespoon | Fat |
2 Cans (8 Ounces each) | Tomato Sauce |
1/2 Pound | Cottage Cheese |
1 Package (8 Ounces) | Cream Cheese |
1/4 Cup | Commercial Sour Cream |
1/3 Cup | Minced Onion |
1 Tablespoon | Minced Green Pepper |
2 Tablespoons | Melted Butter |
Instructions
- Cook & drain noodles according to package directions.
- Brown ground beef in fat; drain excess fat. Stir in tomato sauce.
- Combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, minced onion, and minced green pepper. Mix well.
- In a casserole dish, layer the ingredients (typically noodles, meat sauce, cheese mixture - repeat if desired, or just one layer of each).
- Pour melted butter over the top.
- Refrigerate (optional, if making ahead) then bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.
