8 OuncesUncooked Noodles
1 PoundGround Beef
1 TablespoonFat
2 Cans (8 Ounces each)Tomato Sauce
1/2 PoundCottage Cheese
1 Package (8 Ounces)Cream Cheese
1/4 CupCommercial Sour Cream
1/3 CupMinced Onion
1 TablespoonMinced Green Pepper
2 TablespoonsMelted Butter

Instructions

  1. Cook & drain noodles according to package directions.
  2. Brown ground beef in fat; drain excess fat. Stir in tomato sauce.
  3. Combine cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, minced onion, and minced green pepper. Mix well.
  4. In a casserole dish, layer the ingredients (typically noodles, meat sauce, cheese mixture - repeat if desired, or just one layer of each).
  5. Pour melted butter over the top.
  6. Refrigerate (optional, if making ahead) then bake at 350° for 45-50 minutes, or until heated through and bubbly.
