MeasurementsIngredients
1½ lbsRound Steak
Salt & Pepper
Butter or Fat
2 or 3Onions
½ lbMushrooms
Capers
1 cupFresh Peas
½ cupDiced Carrots
1 tbspFlour
3 tbspFat
2 cupsSour Cream
2Bay Leaves

Instructions

  1. Cut meat into small cubes about 2”.
  2. Pound well with cleaver.
  3. Season with salt and pepper & fry in fat.
  4. Grease baking dish, place in it a layer of onions, mushrooms, peas, carrots, and capers mixed.
  5. Alternate the layers.
  6. Top layer should be meat.
  7. Make a sauce of 3 tbsp fat, flour, and sour cream; add bay leaves & pour into dish.
  8. Bake 375 until tender.
