MeasurementsIngredients
1/2 TspVinegar
1 TbspShredded Lemon Peel
1/2 CupMilk
1 3/4 CupsFlour
1/2 CupButter or Margarine
1 TspBaking Powder
3/4 CupSugar
1/4 TspSalt
1Egg
3/4 CupSugar - For Glaze
1/4 CupLemon Juice - For Glaze

Instructions

  1. Stir vinegar into milk.
  2. Cream butter and 3/4 cup sugar till fluffy.
  3. Add egg and peel; beat well.
  4. Sift dry ingredients.
  5. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk - beating smooth after each addition.
  6. Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 350 for 12 to 14 min.
  8. Remove at once & immediately brush tops with lemon glaze.

Glaze:

  • Mix 3/4 cup sugar & 1/4 cup lemon juice.
