Measurements | Ingredients |

1/2 Tsp | Vinegar |
1 Tbsp | Shredded Lemon Peel |
1/2 Cup | Milk |
1 3/4 Cups | Flour |
1/2 Cup | Butter or Margarine |
1 Tsp | Baking Powder |
3/4 Cup | Sugar |
1/4 Tsp | Salt |
1 | Egg |
3/4 Cup | Sugar - For Glaze |
1/4 Cup | Lemon Juice - For Glaze |
Instructions
- Stir vinegar into milk.
- Cream butter and 3/4 cup sugar till fluffy.
- Add egg and peel; beat well.
- Sift dry ingredients.
- Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk - beating smooth after each addition.
- Drop from teaspoon 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 for 12 to 14 min.
- Remove at once & immediately brush tops with lemon glaze.
Glaze:
- Mix 3/4 cup sugar & 1/4 cup lemon juice.
