MeasurementsIngredients
1/4 cupCornstarch
1/2 cupSugar
1/4 teaspoonSalt
2 cupsMilk
1 1/2 - 1 ozSquares Unsweetened Chocolate
3Slightly Beaten Egg Yolks (Save Whites)
2 tablespoonsButter or Margarine
1/2 +Vanilla
1Pie Shell

Instructions

  1. Salt. Gradually add Scalded Milk (Very Hot).
  2. Cook Over Moderate Heat, Stirring Constantly Until Mixture Thickens & Boils.
  3. Cook For 2 Min. At A Rolling Boil.
  4. Remove From Heat, Add Small Amt. Of Hot Mixture To A Bowl Containing The Beaten Egg Yolks; Then Add Egg Yolk Mixture To Hot Mixture Stirring Well.
  5. Boil 1 Min. Stirring Constantly.
  6. Add Marg & Vanilla. Cool Slightly.
  7. Pour Into Baked Pastry Shell. Cool.
  8. Cover With Plastic Wrap & Refrigerate Until Late Tomorrow.
