Measurements | Ingredients |

1/4 cup | Cornstarch |
1/2 cup | Sugar |
1/4 teaspoon | Salt |
2 cups | Milk |
1 1/2 - 1 oz | Squares Unsweetened Chocolate |
3 | Slightly Beaten Egg Yolks (Save Whites) |
2 tablespoons | Butter or Margarine |
1/2 + | Vanilla |
1 | Pie Shell |
Instructions
- Salt. Gradually add Scalded Milk (Very Hot).
- Cook Over Moderate Heat, Stirring Constantly Until Mixture Thickens & Boils.
- Cook For 2 Min. At A Rolling Boil.
- Remove From Heat, Add Small Amt. Of Hot Mixture To A Bowl Containing The Beaten Egg Yolks; Then Add Egg Yolk Mixture To Hot Mixture Stirring Well.
- Boil 1 Min. Stirring Constantly.
- Add Marg & Vanilla. Cool Slightly.
- Pour Into Baked Pastry Shell. Cool.
- Cover With Plastic Wrap & Refrigerate Until Late Tomorrow.
