Pound (One Cube or Cup) | Butter |
Instructions
- 1st Step
- In the top of a double boiler, combine ten Campfire marshmallows and one tablespoon of water. Heat and stir until the marshmallows are completely melted. Keep warm.
- 2nd Step
- In a large saucepan, combine can of large Nestle’s evaporated milk and two cups of sugar.
- Bring this mixture to a full rolling boil, stirring constantly. Boil for exactly 6 minutes.
- 3rd Step
- While the milk and sugar mixture is boiling, prepare a large mixing bowl with one and a half packages of Nestle’s chocolate bits, one cup of chopped nut meats, one teaspoon of vanilla, and pound of butter.
- Pour the melted marshmallows (from step 1) over the chocolate bits and other ingredients in the mixing bowl.
- Then, pour the hot milk and sugar mixture (from step 3) over everything in the mixing bowl.
- Stir until all ingredients are well mixed and the chocolate and butter are completely melted and smooth.
- Pour the fudge into a butter-greased 8x8 inch dish.
- Allow 4 hours in the refrigerator to set.
