1 cupSugar
1 quartMilk
2Eggs
1/4 tspSalt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325° F.
  2. Caramelize in skillet: 1 cup sugar.
  3. Heat to scalding: 1 quart milk.
  4. Add hot milk to caramelized sugar slowly.
  5. Stir until all of the syrup is dissolved.
  6. Cool.
  7. Beat slightly: 2 eggs.
  8. Add 1/4 tsp salt.
  9. Add mixture slowly to beaten eggs, stirring.
  10. Pour into custard cups, place in pan of hot water.
  11. Bake 1 hour till done.
