Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325° F.
- Caramelize in skillet: 1 cup sugar.
- Heat to scalding: 1 quart milk.
- Add hot milk to caramelized sugar slowly.
- Stir until all of the syrup is dissolved.
- Cool.
- Beat slightly: 2 eggs.
- Add 1/4 tsp salt.
- Add mixture slowly to beaten eggs, stirring.
- Pour into custard cups, place in pan of hot water.
- Bake 1 hour till done.
