MeasurementsIngredients
1 poundButter (Never Oleo)
1/4 cupPowdered Sugar
5 cupsFlour
1 tablespoonRice Flour (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix butter and sugar well.
  2. Blend in flour with hands.
  3. Pat out and use cookie press or cut into shapes.
  4. In Scotland, the dough is shaped like a pie crust, pierced with a fork, put in refrigerator for an hour, then baked at 350°F until slightly brown.
  5. (When using cookie press or cutting into shapes, I do not refrigerate.)
  6. Cut painful while hot (until lite brown).
  7. Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes for cookies.
