MeasurementsIngredients
6 extra largeEggs
1¼ cupsSugar
1 cupButter or Margarine, Melted & Cooled
6 TbspVanilla
3½ cupsFlour
4 tspBaking Powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat pizelle iron for 10-15 min while preparing batter.
  2. Beat eggs until frothy.
  3. Gradually add sugar while continuing to beat.
  4. Beat until sugar is dissolved & batter is smooth.
  5. Add melted butter & vanilla.
  6. Sift flour & baking powder & add to egg mixture.
  7. Mix until smooth. Batter will be thick & sticky.
  8. Drop a heaping Tbsp. batter into center of preheated pizzelle iron & bake until lightly browned.
  9. Repeat.
  10. Discard first & second pizzelles.
