MeasurementsIngredients
1/4 PoundButter
1Egg
2 TeaspoonsVanilla
1 CupOld Fashioned Oats
1 CupSugar
1 TeaspoonSalt
3 TablespoonsSifted Flour
1/4 TeaspoonBaking Powder

Instructions

  1. Melt butter.
  2. Beat egg in well and add vanilla.
  3. Mix dry ingredients.
  4. Add to butter and egg mixture.
  5. Mix well.
  6. Refrigerate overnight.
  7. Cover cookie sheet with thin foil.
  8. Drop by half teaspoonfuls allowing room to spread.
  9. Bake in a 325°F oven for 10-15 minutes. (Set oven timer for less and watch.)
  10. Cool.
  11. Pull foil from cookies.

Note

  • Batter does better cold. Put back into fridge between bakings.
  • Leave lots of space between cookies on the sheet.
