Measurements | Ingredients |

1/4 Pound | Butter |
1 | Egg |
2 Teaspoons | Vanilla |
1 Cup | Old Fashioned Oats |
1 Cup | Sugar |
1 Teaspoon | Salt |
3 Tablespoons | Sifted Flour |
1/4 Teaspoon | Baking Powder |
Instructions
- Melt butter.
- Beat egg in well and add vanilla.
- Mix dry ingredients.
- Add to butter and egg mixture.
- Mix well.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- Cover cookie sheet with thin foil.
- Drop by half teaspoonfuls allowing room to spread.
- Bake in a 325°F oven for 10-15 minutes. (Set oven timer for less and watch.)
- Cool.
- Pull foil from cookies.
Note
- Batter does better cold. Put back into fridge between bakings.
- Leave lots of space between cookies on the sheet.
