Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, blend together one cup of shortening, one cup of brown sugar, and cup of granulated sugar until creamed.
- Beat in two teaspoons of vanilla and two eggs.
- In a separate bowl, sift together two and cups of sifted all-purpose flour, one teaspoon of baking soda, and one teaspoon of salt.
- Gradually add the sifted dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and mix well.
- Stir in cup of the M&M candies. Reserve the remaining one cup of candies for decorating.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Decorate the tops of the cookies with the remaining M&M candies as desired.
- Bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
