One & CupsM&M Candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. In a large bowl, blend together one cup of shortening, one cup of brown sugar, and cup of granulated sugar until creamed.
  3. Beat in two teaspoons of vanilla and two eggs.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together two and cups of sifted all-purpose flour, one teaspoon of baking soda, and one teaspoon of salt.
  5. Gradually add the sifted dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and mix well.
  6. Stir in cup of the M&M candies. Reserve the remaining one cup of candies for decorating.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Decorate the tops of the cookies with the remaining M&M candies as desired.
  9. Bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
