Measurements	Ingredients
One Cup	Shortening
One Cup	Brown Sugar
$\frac{1}{2}$ Cup	Granulated Sugar
Two Teaspoons	Vanilla Extract
Two	Eggs
Two & $\frac{1}{4}$ Cups	Sifted All-Purpose Flour
One Teaspoon	Baking Soda
One Teaspoon	Salt
One & $\frac{1}{2}$ Cups	M&M Candies

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. In a large bowl, blend together one cup of shortening, one cup of brown sugar, and $\frac{1}{2}$ cup of granulated sugar until creamed.
3. Beat in two teaspoons of vanilla and two eggs.
4. In a separate bowl, sift together two and $\frac{1}{4}$ cups of sifted all-purpose flour, one teaspoon of baking soda, and one teaspoon of salt.
5. Gradually add the sifted dry ingredients to the creamed mixture and mix well.
6. Stir in $\frac{1}{2}$ cup of the M&M candies. Reserve the remaining one cup of candies for decorating.
7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
8. Decorate the tops of the cookies with the remaining M&M candies as desired.
9. Bake at 375°F for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
