Measurements | Ingredients |

2 Cups | Butter |
3 Cups | White Sugar |
4 | Eggs |
5 Cups | Flour |
2 Teaspoons | Salt |
2 Teaspoons | Soda |
2 Teaspoons | Cinnamon |
1 to 2 Pounds | Dates (I only put 1 Pound) - Chopped |
1/2 Cup | Candied Pineapple (use red or green) |
1/2 Cup | Candied Cherries |
Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Beat in eggs.
- Sift together flour, salt, soda, and cinnamon, and add to the creamed mixture.
- Add dates, candied pineapple and candied cherries
- Mix altogether and spoon onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350°F. (Original recipe doesn’t state a time, but fruitcake cookies typically bake for 8-12 minutes. Watch carefully.)
