For Rolling | Additional Sifted Confectioners’ Sugar |
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Cream together cup of butter, cup of sifted confectioners’ sugar, one teaspoon of vanilla, and teaspoon of salt until light and fluffy.
- Add two cups of sifted all-purpose flour and cup of finely chopped almonds; mix well.
- Use a teaspoon of dough to roll around each whole candied cherry, completely enclosing it.
- Place the dough-covered cherries on an ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake in the 325°F oven for 20 minutes.
- Cool slightly on the baking sheet.
- While still warm, roll each ball in additional sifted confectioners’ sugar.
