Two CupsSifted All-Purpose Flour
CupFinely Chopped Almonds
SixtyWhole Candied Cherries

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Cream together cup of butter, cup of sifted confectioners’ sugar, one teaspoon of vanilla, and teaspoon of salt until light and fluffy.
  3. Add two cups of sifted all-purpose flour and cup of finely chopped almonds; mix well.
  4. Use a teaspoon of dough to roll around each whole candied cherry, completely enclosing it.
  5. Place the dough-covered cherries on an ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the 325°F oven for 20 minutes.
  7. Cool slightly on the baking sheet.
  8. While still warm, roll each ball in additional sifted confectioners’ sugar.
