Instructions

  1. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, sift together the baking powder, salt, and cake flour.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Shape the dough as desired and place on ungreased baking sheets.
  9. Bake for 10 minutes.
