Recipe

MeasurementsIngredients
1 lb.Lard
¼ CupSugar
2Eggs
½ CupWhiskey
4 tsp.Anise Seed
½ CupCold Water
1 tsp.Salt
1 ½ tsp.Soda
6 CupsFlour

Instructions

  1. Cream Lard One Hour. (Blender 15 Minutes)
  2. Add Sugar ½ At A Time.
  3. Cream Each Add. For 30 Minutes (Blender 5 Minutes)
  4. Add Eggs, One At A Time.
  5. Cream 15 Minutes After Each. (Blender 5 Minutes)
  6. Add Anise Seed and Whiskey.
  7. Sift 2 Cups Flour With Salt & Soda.
  8. Add To Lard Mixture Alternately With Cold Water.
  9. Add Remainder Of Flour.
  10. Refrigerate Overnight.
  11. Roll Out ¼ Inch Thick.
  12. Bake at 350 Degrees for 15 Minutes.
  13. Dust With Sugar and Cinnamon Mixture.
