One CupChopped Nuts
Two CupsCubed Apple

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x12x2 inch baking pan well.
  2. Sift together cup of flour, three teaspoons of baking powder, and teaspoon of salt.
  3. Add one cup of sugar, two eggs, and three teaspoons of vanilla to the sifted dry ingredients.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Add one cup of chopped nuts and two cups of cubed apple.
  6. Stir everything together by hand.
  7. Pour the batter into the well-greased 8x12x2 inch pan.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes. (The card notes the torte “rises and falls”).
  9. Serve warm or at room temperature with ice cream or cream.
