Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x12x2 inch baking pan well.
- Sift together cup of flour, three teaspoons of baking powder, and teaspoon of salt.
- Add one cup of sugar, two eggs, and three teaspoons of vanilla to the sifted dry ingredients.
- Mix well.
- Add one cup of chopped nuts and two cups of cubed apple.
- Stir everything together by hand.
- Pour the batter into the well-greased 8x12x2 inch pan.
- Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes. (The card notes the torte “rises and falls”).
- Serve warm or at room temperature with ice cream or cream.
