Measurements | Ingredients |

3 Ounces | Margarine |
3 Tablespoons | White Karo or 6 oz. Sugar |
6 Ounces | Self-rising Flour |
Pinch | Salt |
1 Tablespoon | Water |
2 Ounces | Raisins |
1/4 Teaspoon | Nutmeg |
1/4 Teaspoon | Ginger |
1/4 Teaspoon | Cinnamon |
1/4 Tablespoon | Lemon Juice |
Grated Rind of 1 Lemon | |
1 | Egg |
Instructions
- Cream Margarine and sugar (as syrup).
- Beat in egg.
- Beat till fluffy.
- Sift Flour with salt and spices and add to mixture alternately with lemon juice and water mixed together.
- Stir in raisins and lemon rind.
- Pour into greased tin and smooth flat.
- Then add topping before baking.
