Recipe

MeasurementsIngredients
1 CakeYeast or 1 pkg Fast Rising Dry Yeast
¼ CupLuke Warm Water
¼ CupShortening
¼ CupSugar
2 TeaspoonsSalt
2 CupsScalded Milk
2Eggs, beaten
5 to 6 CupsSifted Flour

Instructions

  1. Soften yeast in lukewarm water.
  2. Measure shortening & sugar/salt in mixing bowl.
  3. Add scalded milk.
  4. Cool to lukewarm.
  5. Add softened yeast, eggs, & flour.
  6. Beat until smooth.
  7. Let rise until double in bulk.
  8. Stir down & with a spoon fill well-oiled muffin pans ½ full.
  9. Let rise until double in bulk.
  10. Bake at 375°-400° 15 to 20 min.
  11. makes 30 medium rolls.
