1 TeaspoonSalt
3 Heaping TeaspoonsBaking Powder
1 Heaping TablespoonShortening
1 PintLukewarm Water
Fat

Instructions

  1. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Cut in shortening.
  3. Adding water to make dough consistency of biscuit dough.
  4. Roll out dough about 1/2” thick and cut into 3” squares.
  5. Cut hole in center.
  6. Fry in deep fat.
