2 cupsSugar
1 cupMilk
2 TbspButter
1 1/2 cupsChopped Dates
1 cupChopped Nuts

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, milk, & butter.
  2. Cook slowly, stirring constantly until mixture boils.
  3. Boil slowly to 240F (or when dropped into cold water forms a semi-firm ball).
  4. Remove from heat.
  5. Add dates & nuts; stir until mixture thickens.
  6. Form into two rolls, 1 1/2” in diameter.
  7. Wrap in a damp cloth; chill until firm.
  8. Slice..
