One Fifth (of a gallon, typically 750ml)Good Brandy
One HalfVanilla Bean (per quart bottle)

Instructions

  1. Combine four cups of sugar and two ounces of instant coffee.
  2. Add two cups of boiling water to the sugar and coffee mixture. Stir until dissolved.
  3. Cool the mixture completely.
  4. Once cool, add one-fifth of good brandy.
  5. Pour the mixture into two quart bottles.
  6. Add one half of a vanilla bean into each bottle.
  7. Store in a cool place for 15 days before using.
